This discourse makes more sense than anything else I've ever heard in the media, especially from political leaders. Too bad we can't have a catchy slogan that can capture the essence of your discussion for wide spread consideration. Thoughtful discourse like this just might lead to a construction resolution- something we can all pray for.

<i>"Every time an insurance company makes an error on a claim (incorrect denial of coverage, etc.), penalize the company and the employer by making the insurer pay not only the claim, but also pay an amount equal to the claim directly to the insured as damages. And make the employer responsible for part of those damages, say a negotiated percentage between 30% and 50%, to hold their feet to the fire too in how they select who they chose to do business with on behalf of their employees."</i>

Wow, interesting idea. Not something I could ever see happening though. But I am right on side with you about insurers, of all sizes, types and colours. I have no use for any of them.

We definitely ARE on the same page here. But in addition to profiling, our State Department needs to start paying attention to warnings - especially those delivered by the PARENT.

Love the new site, btw.

Exactly! It's a Christian holiday, so either have a religious Christmas, or a secular holiday, but call a spade a spade!

Being agnostic you might think I wouldn't agree with this - but for the most part I do. Why not choose to celebrate Christmas, since the Obama's are 'Christian', and then if they choose to pay homage to other religions or non-religions, then do so, but seperately.

However, If the Obamas were something other than Christian, I could see how they would want to "celebrate the holidays" as a non-christian. Or maybe pay homage to Christmas and spend time his family, count his blessings etc. - which is what I do - But please, call a spade a spade; It is CHRISTMAS!
